Looking south over Lake Llanquihue, to the town of Puerto Varas, where we stayed a few nights. This is a sporty region: lots of hiking, biking, kayaking, rafting, sailing, etc. and is part of what is called the "Lakes District" of Patagonia. (There are a lot of lakes.
